Competed in ARCA Stock car events.... Competed for in the World of Outlaws The 2001 O'Reilly ASCoT National champion returns to American Sprint Car Series competition on a full-time basis in 2008 after an Outlaw stint over the past year-and-a-half. And Zach will be bidding for a second National crown aboard his father's familiar No. 50z entry, while also taking in a selected slate of Sooner Region events in Terry Henry's No. 92 mount. After getting a taste of ASCS competition in 1999, Zach hit the road full-time in 2000 and didn’t miss an ASCS National Tour event until five years later when ARCA commitments forced him to miss several shows. Following a fifth-place ranking in 2000, Zach became the youngest champion in ASCS National Tour history by capturing the title at just 19 years of age in 2001. Zach followed up with three consecutive third-place rankings from 2002 to 2004 before finishing out the 2005 season in ninth after finally missing several events. Zach’s streak of consecutive events-competed-in ended at 199, with his first absence also snapping a streak of 101 consecutive feature starts. Zach was the first driver in series history to compete in more than 100 consecutive feature events, a mark that only one other driver has surpassed. Zach scored the first of his seven ASCS National Tour feature wins during the 2001 Speedweek finale at Oklahoma City's State Fair Speedway, adding three wins in 2002 (Beaumont, Murfreesboro and Jetmore), two more in 2003 (Murfreesboro and Yellville) and one more in 2004 (Nebraska Raceway Park). Just 25 years old as the 2008 season fires to life, Zach ranks sixth in ASCS National Tour history with 250 career feature starts. Along the way, Zach has posted 102 top-fives and 179 top-tens. Zach also has three career ASCS Sooner Region feature wins to his credit, claiming victories at Lawton, Tulsa and Fayetteville. 1999
